Getting to Hong Kong by Plane

Hong Kong International Airport (IATA: HKG) is a busy passenger airport with more than 70 million passengers passing through its terminals annually. It is also the world’s busiest cargo airport. In 2017, it handled more than 5 million tonnes of cargo and airmail.

Between the Airport and the City

By Taxi

A taxi station is located near the Arrivals Hall of the airport. Hong Kong taxis are colour-coded according to their operating areas. Both red and green taxis can get to Tuen Mun.

By Airport Express

The Airport Express can take passengers to Kowloon and Central in 30 minutes. Tsing Yi, Kowloon, and Hong Kong stations along the Airport Express are interchange stations to the Tung Chung line. Click here for a complete map of the Hong Kong railway system.

By Bus

Public buses connect the airport to different parts of Hong Kong. Consult Google Map for the best bus route to your destination. The “A” routes are usually faster than the “E” routes. For example, both Bus No. A33 and Bus No. E33 go to Tuen Mun. However, A33 gets to Tuen Mun in about 55 minutes and E33 gets there in about 66 minutes.
